The Richards Bay Coal Terminal, which is the largest coal-export facility in the world, expects a 30-fold surge in sales to India for 2007.

The terminal has shipped 7.3-million metric tons to India in the first ten months of 2007 - more than 24-times the amount shipped for the whole of the previous year.

While Richard's Bay ranks first as the largest coal-export facility in the world, it is the third largest thermal coal exporter after Australia and Indonesia.
