Engineers from the Mhlatuze (Richards Bay) municipality have completed a 4km long pipeline at the port. The pipeline will transport dense waste water from the local fertiliser factory offshore for disposal.

The project was carried out by Mhlatuze Water to replace the original pipeline, some 25-years-old, at a cost of approximately R200 million.

The pipeline is expected to be functional by August.
