The state-owned Petroleum, Oil and Gas Corporation of South Africa (PetroSA) is set to be begin drilling operations in the Gulf of Suez shortly.

According to Everton September, head of the company's upstream operations, PetroSA is to begin drilling operations in the oil-rich Gulf of Suez at one of its new concessions in next week.

September further stated that the parastatal was looking to expand, particularly in Africa, where other major oil companies are scaling down.
